Married in Mexico! Mackenzie and Austin Brasher said “I do” in an oceanside ceremony in Cabo San Lucas. The pair first met in high school and rekindled their relationship when she moved to Dallas after college. While on vacation for Mackenzie’s birthday in 30A, Austin popped the question. “The night before my birthday he proposed on the beach, it was just the two of us and it will forever be one of my favorite trips!”
The Brashers headed back to the beach for their nuptials in Cabo. The ceremony and reception both took place at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. Being from California, Mackenzie and Austin originally wanted to get married at Lake Tahoe, but plans changed after a trip to Mexico. “We had both been to Cabo a lot but never thought of it as a place to get married, so we decided to take a trip to look at possible wedding venues and fell in love with the Waldorf. Everything fell into place very easily after that!”
Mackenzie’s vision for the wedding was traditional, timeless celebration with a touch of modern flair. The reception color palette was all white with touches of blue and gold accents. “It was important to me that when I look back on my wedding pictures in 20 years all the décor still felt timeless, and nothing was too trendy.”
The Brasher’s reception was filled with many fun moments, but a highlight for Mackenzie was the sax player that joined everyone on the dance floor. Mackenzie rocked a mini dress by Naeem Khan from Neiman Marcus Bridal that was perfect for dancing the night away.
What a weekend in Mexico with the Brashers! Wishing you all of the love and happiness!
