A winter wonderland with Southern Twang! Maggie and Logan celebrated their marriage with loved ones at the Dallas Country Club on January 21st. The pair first met through a mutual friend. “He worked with one of my best friend’s older brothers, so her older brother kind of set us up at the beginning of 2021, and then we went on our first date and pretty much knew right away that this was it!” In May of 2022, Logan’s family invited Maggie’s family for a weekend spent at their home in Louisiana. “Friday night once everyone had arrived and had some drinks, Logan asked me to go outside and give our dog some attention. So we walked out the back porch and meandered to the front of the house, and when I turned the corner there were candles and rose petals laid out. It was really sweet. I was SO surprised.”
Flash forward to January of 2023, Maggie and Logan said “I do” at Highland Park United Methodist Church. For her wedding day, Maggie wore a stunning gown by Romona Keveza. “I got my dress from Neiman Marcus. I would say it is a very classic, timeless gown. It had a special slanted neckline and some darts, but other than that it was crisp white and beautiful. I had no idea what I wanted when I went to try on dresses, but once I tried this one on, I knew it was it. And it happened to be the same designer as my older sister’s wedding dress, and I borrowed her little belt that she wore on her wedding day, which made the dress that much more special!”
Maggie’s favorite moment from the ceremony was walking down the aisle to see Logan. “He is the person who calms me down, so it was so good to finally see him and get to be with him!”
Following their beautiful ceremony, it was time for celebration at the DCC. “My parents are members at the DCC and we have always loved going there for happy hours after work. It is so fun to sit by the cozy fire and run into so many people we know.” Mr. and Mrs. Adams treated their guests to southern favorites including shrimp and grits, brisket mac and cheese, and bourbon. Sunrise Bakery, in Louisiana, created a King’s cake for Logan’s groom’s cake to bring in a touch of Louisiana flair. The ballroom was decorated in icy tones for the Adams’ winter wedding. Maggie and Logan spent the evening mingling and dancing with guests on the dance floor of the DCC. The crescendo to the night was when Maggie was hoisted on a chair by guests in celebration! After a dip and a kiss, Mr. and Mrs. Adams escaped in a vintage getaway car!
