Pebble Beach proved to be the perfect place for Mabry and Will to tie the knot! “Something really important to me was getting married on the beach! My whole life I have envisioned myself getting married on the beach or next to the ocean. I also wanted a place that was important to Will and I’s families. They all love playing golf and my grandparents loved Pebble Beach which was important to honor for Will and I’s ceremony.”
Mabry and Will met during their freshman year of college while attending Texas Christian University, but didn’t start dating until their senior year. “We dated for almost 5 years before he proposed. Then he popped the question in Davis Park on a bridge in the Lakeside area!! It was August 20th 2021 and I had absolutely no idea!! He told me we were going to have a picnic in 100 degree weather and I was complaining on the ride over like who has a picnic in Texas in August!??”
Their ceremony took place on the third fairway of Pebble Beach Resort, overlooking the ocean. The aisle was lined with green and white flowers, perfectly matching the scenery. “I asked for all white flowers which included ranunculus, baby’s-breath, tulips, hydrangea, sweet peas and delphiniums! I didn’t want a tall arch because I didn’t want to obstruct the views, so I asked the floral team for small trees to mark the center of the vow exchange with a floral horseshoe shape to circle the altar. “
Mabry designed a custom golf cart that was used as a champagne cart during the ceremony and the getaway car at the end of their reception! Guests were served bubbles on the lawn before the Viehmans exchanged their vows. Mabry walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father. She wore Mira Zwillinger for her wedding day. “The dress was a floral abstract, almost 3-D embroidered lace with a tiny bit of sparkle. It was a fitted corset dress with a sweetheart neckline and I custom made the matching topper with cap sleeves.”
After the ceremony, Mabry and Will took a cruise on the golf course on the back of their custom golf cart. Will even hopped out at one point to hit a few golf balls!
Post ceremony celebrations were held at the resort’s Beach and Tennis Club. The entry to the club was elegantly decorated with green, white and purple flowers. Out on the patio, guests mingled and enjoyed the bar. The front facade was a beautiful watercolor of the Pebble Beach scenery design by Carly Creative Co.
A common theme amongst the decor was butterflies. The cake, standing five tiers tall, had butterflies fluttering on each tier. Fresh florals trailed the side as well. The base of the cake was covered with moss, roses and hydrangeas.
Mr. and Mrs. Viehman sure know how to throw a party! The couple had a Pitbull themed after party. A cardboard cutout of Pitbull was crowd surfing overhead and wig caps were passed out in honor of Mr. Worldwide. As celebrations concluded, the Viehmans exited amongst silver streamers.
Cheers to you, Mr. and Mrs. Viehman!
