It was a fiesta like no other in San Miguel with Smiths! Steele and Brantley celebrated their marriage in an intimate destination wedding in Mexico.
Wedding festivities began with a Callejoneada parade. The streets of San Miguel were lit up with an electric energy as Steele and Brantley lead guests around town with bride and groom piñata figures. As the sun set on the Callejoneada fun, the evening began under the stars for a lovely welcome dinner.
Steele began her wedding day by getting ready with her bridesmaids. Maitee Miles did Steele’s hair and makeup, a stylish up-do and a clean, light makeup look. Steele wore a beautiful Sareh Nouri gown with long lace sleeves, which she paired with Sarah Flint bridal shoes.
The ceremony and reception were both held at Casa Hyder. The courtyard was the perfect romantic setting for Steele and Brantley to exchange vows. At the altar, a grand arch of green and white flowers framed a beautifully detailed set of double doors. Natural tropical foliage contributed to the stunning setting of Mr. and Mrs. Smith’s wedding.
A transparent tent was assembled above the gold and white dance floor of the reception. From the ceiling hung lanterns holding candles with flames aglow. The decor was all white, clean and crisp. Candelabras and white roses lined each table. For their first dance, Steele and Brantley danced to “More Today than Yesterday”. It was magic watching Brantley spin his bride as sparklers went off around the dance floor. The combination of sparkles and lanterns twinkling in the night was truly spectacular and made for one of our favorite photos. The pure joy of the moment was evident from Steele and Brantley’s elated grins. Guests cheered as toasts culminated and the Georgia Bridgewater gave a special performance with the bride herself. Steele jokingly serenaded her groom and guests. At this point, it was truly party time and shots of tequila were passed out in celebration. The dance floor was flooded with dancing guests as flower crowns were distributed and the saxophonist hit the floor. The evening capped off with a grand exit in streamers.
