An off-the-cuff ice cream date inspired by a mutual friend, turned into a Winter wedding four years later.
Ellie and Jon’s paths had crossed tangentially during their younger years, but seldom beyond a passing greeting in the hallways or at events. After high school, the two went their separate ways, but didn’t stray too far from each other in regards to mutual friends from their hometown.
Out of the blue, one of those friends from back home called an unassuming Ellie, to tell her about an amusing dream she’d had the night before. In her dream, Ellie had married Jon Skidmore. As it turned out, that same friend called Jon as well to share the story, innocently of course.
Once this subliminal hint was dropped, you could say interest piqued for both parties. Shortly after this prophetic dream, the two got together for ice cream over Christmas break. Who would have thought that four years later, the two would actually be saying “I do”?
Ellie and Jon’s smiles rarely left their faces amid their Winter white wedding at the DCC. Icy, arctic tones filled the ballroom, with golden accents in the chinoiserie chairs and monogrammed dance floor. Ellie stood out in the crowd, wearing a bright, strapless Sareh Nouri trumpet gown with a hairpiece made of fresh floral. The love between the newlyweds was palpable from the aisle to the rose petal exit, and was a joy to capture. Wishing the Skidmores all the best!
