“I wanted to do something in the daytime where we could enjoy the place that we were at,” Lane shared. “The day after the wedding, I’m not stressed about getting sunburned or worrying about the next event. I wanted us to actually enjoy being there with our guests.”
Guests lingered poolside, swapped stories, and celebrated not only the newlyweds but also the destination itself. It was a reminder that while the wedding lasted a day, the memories were made across an entire weekend.

“I wanted something that’s kind of retro,” Lane said. “When I saw it, I was like, ‘You hit the nail on the head.'”

Since Lane’s birthday fell just two days after the wedding, and her two stepdaughters’ birthdays were only days apart as well, the celebration became a shared moment for the entire family, making the gathering feel even more personal.
