Emily and Nathan met while both visiting Aspen, Colorado. “I was camping through the American West and exploring. Nathan was visiting Aspen with his parents and their best friends. We met at a dive bar called Silver City Saloon and totally hit it off! We ran into each other in town and his mom suggested we “connect later” so we went on a date that night to a hotel bar. We both left Aspen the next day and FaceTimed and decided to try dating long distance. We were long distance from August 2020 to December 2020, moved to Nashville and now we’re here!!”
On July 23rd, Emily and Nathan were married in Nashville, Tennessee in a classic, traditional and timeless celebration at the iconic Hermitage hotel. Emily stated, “I really wanted golds and crystal-look throughout. We decided on lots of neutrals but with lots of glamor!”
The ceremony was held in the Veranda of the hotel. At the altar, a spectacular arrangement of green and white flowers stood tall and served as a beautiful backdrop for vows. One of the most meaningful moments from the reception to Emily was the time they spent talking to one another while kneeling on the same chairs that her parents used at their wedding.
The reception took place in the grand ballroom of the Hermitage hotel. Tables were decorated with grand flower arrangements of white orchids, hydrangeas and roses. Touches of greenery and gold vases popped amongst the all white flowers.
The groom’s cake paid homage to Nathan’s love of music but also the first weekend that Emily and Nathan met. “The cake (which was a surprise) is modeled after the guitar Nathan bought in Aspen on the same trip we met, so he joked about getting a girl and a guitar!”
A major highlight of the reception was Nathan taking the stage to play his guitar. He brought the house down with his impressive solo performance. Nathan and Emily shared a kiss on stage as the party raged on. Emily wore a sparkly mini dress for the rest of the evening. She danced freely in her show stopping number before the night came to a close. The newlyweds left in fluttering streamers. Cheers to you, Mr. and Mrs. Carter!
