Claire and Jeff’s love story began with a nudge: friends encouraging Claire to put herself out there. Though initially hesitant, she finally gave in… and met Jeff just seven minutes down the road. After the first date lasted 4.5 hours, Claire smiled, “We both knew within the month.” Years of praying, waiting, and trusting led to a love that felt divinely timed!
Held in Dallas, the day was designed around joy. Claire envisioned a bright, springtime celebration bursting with color, warmth, and personal touches. Much of that creativity came from her mother, whose eye for detail and design made the day feel layered and personal. From lattice-framed seating charts to flower-topped lampposts and watercolor napkins featuring the couple’s dogs, every design element spoke to sentiment and story. “I would describe the feel I wanted,” Claire said, “and she would bring it to life.”
Claire’s dress, a softly structured A-line gown with floral details, was the very first one she tried on. It reminded her of flower petals and made her feel beautiful, comfortable, and ready to dance: something she’d always dreamed of doing at her wedding. Her “something old” was a handkerchief passed down by generations of women in her family, lovingly tucked into her bouquet. This heirloom lives in an envelope that has been signed by 11 of the women in her family whom had been brides before her. Her father-daughter dance began sweetly with What a Wonderful World and ended in celebration with Boogie Shoes.
But, perhaps the most meaningful part of the day was the ceremony itself. Claire and Jeff were intentional about every detail, from the music, to the scripture, to having their pastor come out of sabbatical to marry them. Her dear friend, a singer-songwriter from Nashville, performed Goodness of God live during the service: a moment that moved Claire to tears. “That was the moment I cried,” she said. “Everything else I was just beaming. But that song… it wrecked me in the best way.”
Every detail reflected their shared joy and deep gratitude, from the vibrant florals to the music that moved them. And as they drove off in Jeff’s beloved red ’94 Bronco, it was the perfect ending to a day that felt entirely, authentically them: heartfelt, personal, and full of grace.
