“Here comes the sun, do do do do…” This delightful tune from the Beatles has been pleasantly stuck in my head ever since scrolling through Katie and Max’s wedding gallery and obsessing over their sunset portraits. With a well-executed shot list, our photographers hope to be capturing a newlywed couple an hour before sunset when the sun radiates the most beautiful glow. This time is appropriately titled “golden hour” and it’s the best time of the day to be taking portraits outside.
We cannot control the sun anymore than we control rain clouds or windspeed, but our team is expert predictors. We hope to utilize the weather to the best of our ability and many times, Mother Nature is kind. Occasionally, Mother Nature even shows off and becomes one of our favorite “photobombers” by perfectly glaring a shot with sunlight which then beams behind a glowing couple. The glare is somewhat controlled, somewhat coincidental, but completely beautiful. We gathered together a selection of these moments to BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY!
