Though Shelby Burgher married Matthew Seligmann on August 29, 2020, their wedding, full vibrant shades of pink, looked like a quintessential Valentine’s celebration. The couple met through mutual friends from college. Matthew was on a golf scholarship at Baylor and Shelby attended Alabama.
As Shelby awaited her arrival to the altar, she spent the morning with her bridal party preparing for the day ahead. She wore a stunning Peter Langner ball gown that beautifully swept behind her as she made her way down the aisle to Matthew.
After the couple’s “I dos” at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, their party made their way to the Houston Country Club for their reception. As guests entered the party they were welcomed by a neon sign that read “How Sweet It Is to be Loved by You”, the title of the James Taylor song that the newlyweds would share as their first dance song. Their pink geode dance floor complimented their blush, bubblegum, and fuchsia hued flowers, created so imaginatively by Johanna Terry Events.
After a dazzling fireworks display, Shelby changed into a bright pink sequin dress and was ready to dance! As the night wound down, Shelby and Matthew were able to sneak one last slow dance in on that pink geode dance floor, before exiting their party and wishing the party a farewell!
