She’s an Orr no more! Rennie and Marshall were pronounced husband and wife in their hometown of Dallas, Texas on November 4th, 2023.
To begin her wedding day, Rennie welcomed her bridesmaids to her family’s home for hair and makeup. The girls spent the morning being pampered by makeup artist Maitee Miles and the hair team at Pura Vida before it was off to Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
Vows were shared and rings were exchanged, officially uniting Rennie and Marshall in marriage! The Vandermeers jubilantly exited the church under a floral arch of pastel hydrangeas and roses.
Following portraits at the church, the Vandermeers made their way to the Crescent Hotel for a reception held in their honor. Inside the Crescent, luxurious light blue details decorated the venue. The soft blue linens that lined the tables were topped with grandiose floral arrangements filled with pastel pink roses and bright white hydrangeas. The flowers were worked into many elements of the decor, including the placecards and the show-stopping five tier cake. At the base of each tier were the same fresh flowers used in the table arrangements. Another notable element of the decor was the blue checkered dance floor. Weddings a la Carte coordinate each detail to work seamlessly with one another and perfectly fill the reception space.
The party began with cocktail held in the courtyard of the Crescent, and transitioned into the ballroom for the reception. The Vandermeers entered and shared their first dance before toasts commenced. The dance floor then opened up to all, and party props of light up leis and glow sticks were distributed to guests. At this point, the energy hit a whole new level with Rennie and Marshall swaying and dancing with their guests arm in arm in celebration! After such an amazing evening, the party wasn’t quite over. An after party was held for late night party goers at the Crescent!
