Sydnie and Kade’s wedding was a modern, ranch-style dream. Complete with a horseshoe seating chart, custom hat station, and whiskey and cigar bar, the couple’s special touches embodied the Rough Creek Lodge venue and brought the wedding to life.
The vision for the wedding? “Cowboy chic, memorable, and lots of fun!”
Sydnie wore a sleek, strapless gown with an intricate floral overlay. Her Lucchese cowboy boots were an element of flair for both the welcome party and reception, thanks to her close friend and bridesmaid who works for the brand. She added lace from her mom’s dress to her bouquet as her “something old” and wore her grandmother’s earrings as her “something borrowed.”
The couple chose not to do a first look, so Sydnie’s walk down the aisle was the first time they saw each other that day. She was nervous beforehand, but says, “Once I opened the doors and saw him, everything was okay.” As for Kade, he loved the fireworks at the end and laughs that the first dance went better than he thought it would!
The weekend affair was set outside of Dallas at a ranch resort, and the duo wanted it to feel like a mini destination for their guests. “We just wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time,” Sydnie says.
Even more than it was already, the wedding date will be one to remember, thanks to the birth of their new niece! Kade’s sister wasn’t able to make it to the wedding because she was so far along in her pregnancy. But on the same day as his mother’s 60th birthday, the day after their wedding, his niece was also born at midnight. It made the weekend even more special for them!
A live band kept the crowd dancing well into the night. And a fireworks show sent the couple off into newly-wedded bliss!
