A myriad of intricate details came together at the Windsor at Hebron Park to accomplish the romantic elegance of Rachel Wilk and Sam Ross’s wedding. Despite the airy perfection of the florals on the altar or her pearl bedecked Jimmy Choos, what was most important to Rachel was curating a day that she and Sam could enjoy. And, one where her guests would have fun, too.
Sam took this to heart. He enchanted Rachel with private, Taylor Swift-inspired vows during their first look. It was Rachel’s favorite moment of the day. “I’m a huge Swiftie, and the vows were honestly iconic. I’ve never had him write something so sweet and so intimate.” (Talk about a love story, Sam. That’s definitely end game material.)
These intimate moments of the day are the ones Rachel holds most dear. She shared the touching moment of signing the Ketubah with Sam and their families. “Sam was looking at me, my parents were looking at us, and Sam’s parents were looking at us. You could genuinely feel the intimacy,” she recalled.
During the planning process, Rachel put extra thought into creating a fun and stress-free experience for herself and her guests. An espresso martini cart (alongside the unparalleled energy of Emerald City) helped extend the dance party. In preparation, Rachel replaced the Jimmy Choos with white sneakers. “The goal was for Sam and me to get to spend as much time on the dance floor as possible.”
They accomplished the mission. And, just like her son, Sam’s mom understood the assignment and took to the dance floor in a “I’m in my mother of the groom era” t-shirt. From singing on stage to dancing in confetti, Rachel’s vision of a fun-filled, memorable day came to life. Her single regret is that it went by too quickly.
“I just cherish the entire time–and seeing all the faces that made us who we are, and made our relationship what it is. I genuinely got to spend the day being carefree and fun, and that’s amazing.”
