Caitlin and Geoffrey’s wedding was stylish, timeless and as reviving as the ocean breeze. Where to begin with this California dream…
Geoffrey and Caitlin met their freshman year at Wake Forest, and have been virtually inseparable ever since. The couple paid homage to their alma mater in a number of ways, notably in their display of escort cards. The cards were strewn amongst leaves to imitate the ceremonious tradition of “rolling the quad” at Wake Forest.
Caitlin’s California ties go back to childhood, and she felt strongly that Miramar Beach was the most suitable place for her and Geoffrey to step into married life together. As a commemoration to the state itself, she made sure to tie in the state flower not only in the floral arrangements, but also on her dress and whimsical cake.
Caitlin’s Oscar de la Renta ball gown was sprinkled with nearly-flush poppy and petal overlays. Her textured sweetheart neckline was made of a gathering of delicately layered pieces that formed the side profile of a flower. Her gown had so much personality and allure, and could not have been better for a breezy Summer day on the California coast. Keeping within the coastal concept, the Jimmy Choo heels Caitlin wore were perfectly pearl-studded.
Knowing that most of their guests would be traveling for the wedding, with some having never been to California, Caitlin and Geoffrey wanted to make sure they capitalized on the surrounding beauty of Montecito. Hosting dinner on the lawn of Rosewood Miramar Beach was an unrivaled, idyllic setting for their guests to enjoy the fruits of the terrain, as well as each other’s company.
After the sun set over the lawn, the crowd ventured indoors to dance the night away. Once things really got moving, Caitlin abandoned her ball gown for a more mobile, feather-laid mini dress and sneakers.
After a stunning and celebratory night, the newly wed Nevilles exited hand in hand. Onto the next adventure, Caitlin and Geoffrey! Thanks for having us be a part of your big day!
