For Kate and Tommy, the story began in their Los Angeles neighborhood, where they grew up just blocks apart. They met in high school through mutual friends and quickly formed a close friendship—one that blossomed into something more by the end of their junior year in 2015. This year not only marks their wedding, but also a decade of love, friendship, and the beginning of our next chapter together.
Kate and Tommy chose to have their engagement session in Seaside, the same charming coastal town where they’ll be saying “I do.” For Kate, the location holds deep personal significance. “Place is incredibly special to our wedding. I’ve been visiting Seaside with my family ever since I was a little girl,” she shared. Over time, Seaside became more than just a favorite getaway. During their four years of long-distance in college, the town became their annual tradition, spending each spring break there together. What began as a family retreat evolved into a meaningful backdrop to their relationship. It became a meaningful place for them as a couple, their shared happy place and home away from home.
“As long as I can remember I knew I wanted to get married at the Seaside Chapel, and every time we’d walk to town on our morning strolls with our family friends in the summer we would talk about my wedding there—imagining my dress, the flower colors, and all the little details. It feels surreal that it’s actually happening now!”, Kate expressed. All those long-held dreams are coming to life in the very place where so many memories were made for them.
