Italian Influence in Horseshoe Bay for #SuttontoSadau

Taylor Sutton and Blake Sadau married September 12, 2020 at Escondido Golf Club in Horseshoe Bay. The couple, both Baylor Bears, met while studying abroad in Italy so they incorporated Italian and European touches throughout their wedding festivities. The country club is full of mediterranean tile and architecture offering an ideal backdrop for their aesthetic.

Leading up to Saturday, Taylor and Blake’s family and friends gathered for a fiesta-themed rehearsal dinner to kick off the weekend. Pops of color and Spanish-influences adorned outdoor tables where guests would mix, mingle, and toast the soon-to-be Sadau’s. There were even donkeys in attendance!

The next morning, spirits remained high as Taylor with her bridesmaids and family got ready together at the club. Taylor wore a whimsical Mira Zwillinger gown adorned in playful appliqué befitting the romantic affair. Taylor’s bridesmaids and both the mother of the bride and mother of the groom all wore shades of blue mirroring the Mediterranean palette. Branching Out Events set a large floral arch at the end of the set wedding aisle where Taylor would meet Blake for the first time. Taylor was proceeded by her bridesmaids who walked the aisle to ‘Amazing Grace’—a favorite hymn of Taylor’s late grandmother. The bride and groom forewent a ‘first look’ so the ceremony was truly magical for all in attendance!

The sun began to set right as the couple said, ‘I do’. The newly-minted Mr. and Mrs. escaped after the ceremony for memorable portraits before a grand entrance to the outdoor, chinoiserie-adorned reception. Guests ate and drank at blue and white striped tables enjoying Italian gelato and pizza (which were both incorporated in honor of the couple’s meet-cute).  Taylor surprised her groom with a cake—in addition to her bridal cake mirroring her wedding gown—that resembled his favorite pet who had recently passed. The evening was as FUN as it was beautiful and timeless which was important to the newlyweds. They spent the evening in full celebration with their closest family and friends before driving off in a vintage, blue Rolls Royce.

It was an affair to remember and we were thrilled to be a part of #SuttontoSadau!
