The old English rhyme “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” has playfully influenced many trousseau’s throughout the years. The saying is not meant to dictate your entire wardrobe, but rather inspire a few heirloom or bespoke items—from a handkerchief to a cocktail ring. Mary Beth Burgher wore the most sentimental ‘something old’ we have seen to date by walking down the aisle in the dress two other women in her family have worn. Family portraits took on even more significance than usual because the bride shared something so special with the women in the room. From getting ready at the Dallas Country Club to walking out of the PCPC chapel doors, we wanted to share a few of these special moments!
