Weddings at home possess a special significance for the bride and her groom no matter the grandeur of the day. This past year, as celebrations were forced to be made smaller these weddings took on a whole new meaning and allowed couples to incorporate more personal details into their day. These details ranged from hosting a wedding at the bride’s family home and using her family’s china and silver to set the table for the wedding meal to celebrating at the bride and groom’s first home together with an intimate dinner in their backyard after their ceremony. As things begin to resume a sense of normalcy, I hope we continue to see weddings like this, because of their memorable nature and personal meaning that lay behind the details.
