Come Fly Away with Michael Buble for Kelly Dillard’s 60th

On January 25, Kelly Dillard hosted an unforgettable celebration in honor of her 60th birthday. As her Instagram handle @coolmom06 suggests, she truly is as cool as they come! Todd Events completely transformed the Dillard’s mediterranean-style home for the occasion. The theme: “Come Fly Away” in honor of the evening’s main event, musical artist Michael Buble. Butterfly details fluttered throughout the decor—on the tables, birthday cake, and even on Kelly’s custom Nardos Gown.

Guests were welcomed into the party through whimsical floral draping and lit greenery bedecking the home’s archways. Before mixing and mingling at the cabana-turned-bar, guests posed at the floral step-and-repeat full of roses, anemones, and ranunculus galore. A custom watercolored floor lay over the pool so guests could mingle with their cocktails outside until it was time to “fly away” with Michael Buble.

The tent structure housed a large stage, a full seated dinner, a cake display, and plenty of room for dancing. Butterfly painted chargers and acrylic butterfly napkin holders sat at every seat continuing the evenings theme. Michael Buble performed beautiful vocals full of the classic style he’s beloved for and eventually called Kelly to the stage to light the cake and sing the most beautiful birthday song we’ve ever heard! The evening progressed as guests began to dance along with Michael Buble, and then later to DJ Lucy Wrubel. If the evening was any indication, life only gets sweeter and it’s a joy to turn sixty!
