Whether you dine on fine china or paper plates this Thanksgiving, family-style dining set outdoors (weather permitting) feels imperative and somewhat nostalgic. I like to think the first Thanksgiving was this way—a gathering of people, from all different places, seated with no separation, gathered in gratitude for a season of abundant harvest.
