Signed. Seadled. Sidwell! On an Amarillo afternoon in April, Peyton and Trey tied the knot at St. Andrew’s Episocpal Church. To start her wedding day, Peyton got ready at a location that is extra special to her, her grandmother’s home, which is now the site for their family’s foundation. After a pj party with her bridal party, Peyton had her hair and makeup done before slipping into her dress. She wore a classic Carolina Herrera gown with a deep V neckline and fitted bodice. Her veil, detailed with lace floral decals, trailed long behind her. To complete her wedding day look, Peyton wore white Manolo Blahniks with a crystal buckle at the toe.
Before heading to St. Andrews, Peyton and Trey did a first look outside of her family’s foundation. A meaningful and picturesque location for an intimate moment before becoming husband and wife.
And off they went to the church! The doors of the exterior were beautifully decorated with green leaves and white roses. The interior of St. Andrew’s was breathtaking with high ceilings, wood beams and a skylight above the altar. Flower girls hand in hand lead the bridal party down the aisle. After sharing a kiss, Peyton and Trey were officially husband and wife! A gospel party led the way as Peyton and Trey recessed from the church. A parade of singers, a saxophone and guests in tow made their way from St. Andrews back to Mary E. Bivins foundation to commence the celebrations.
Let cocktail hour begin! Guests were greeted on the lawn by quite the buzzworthy bar! The Betty Buzz bar (say that five times fast) was set up to look like a lemonade stand, with a green and white striped awning, and served sparkling grapefruit spiked with tequila, and Meyer lemon club soda with vodka. No better place to get your buzz on!
After cocktails and mingling, guests were ushered into the reception space to introduce the new Mr. and Mrs. Sidwell! The reception tent was transformed into a garden party with the addition of green vines hung along the ceiling and florals of pale pinks and magnificent hues of blues. Large floral arrangements in vases, garlands of flowers on tables and arches at each entry point truly contributed to the botanical theme. Gold lanterns and spheres of greenery hung from the tent ceiling. The entire reception was impeccably designed, courtesy of Caroline Events. Peyton’s wedding theme surrounded her love for Richard Ginori china. Many aspects of the decor were a nod to the theme, most notably the cake. The five tier masterpiece was painted to mimic Gionori’s light blue carnation design. Absolutely incredible! Not only was the bride’s cake beautiful, but the surprise groom’s cake was fantastic as well. Peyton designed it as a surprise for Trey, with all of the ranch activities that he loves. The brown three tier cake was hand painted with a hunter and his dog, mallards, and a fly fisherman. Now that’s a wife that knows her outdoorsman husband! Fancy Cakes by Lauren proved her artistry yet again with the creation of these two showstoppers.
After fine dining and chatting with guests, Peyton and Trey celebrated on the dance floor in a sea of confetti. The night ended with a grand exit by Mr. and Mrs. Sidwell via vintage Cadillac Eldorado. Off they went down a pathway of sparklers.
What a stunning evening celebrating the Sidwell’s! Congratulations Peyton and Trey!
