Some weddings are elegant. Some are emotional. And some, like Morgan and Mark’s, are simply unforgettable: filled with personal touches, family traditions, and an energy that kept the dance floor full all night long (yes, even a little crowd surfing).
Morgan and Mark got engaged in Punta Mita, Mexico in early 2024. With a clear vision and an organized mindset, Morgan dove into planning with intention and selected a venue that felt both neutral and magical: the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, California.
Choosing California was part practicality, sunny skies and fewer weather risks than Louisiana or Texas, and part romance. The destination gave guests something new to explore and set the tone for a weekend that felt like a true retreat. From a beachfront picnic hosted by Morgan’s mom to thoughtful get-togethers along Montecito’s charming streets, the entire weekend was built around quality time and meaningful connection.
Morgan’s wedding gown, a timeless, lace-sleeved design inspired by Kate Middleton, was love at first sight. Her entire family came along for the shopping trip, making the experience even more special. The invitation suite, a labor of love created with a Shreveport-based stationer, featured a hidden nod to Morgan’s late grandfather: a 1931 penny sewn into her dress and printed subtly onto the paper goods.
The wedding weekend was full of heart and humor: like when Mark had to get a new hotel room after his snoring groomsman made sleep impossible, or when Morgan kept her promise to friends and crowd surfed to the band’s final songs. The band kept the party going all night, with guests packing the dance floor before dinner was even served.
But, behind the celebration were quieter moments that made it all the more powerful: a relaxed morning in a bridal suite overlooking the ocean, a special sleepover with childhood friends the night before, and a calm, joyful bride who felt supported and seen. As Morgan put it best: “Your only job as a bride is to be the bride.” And by focusing on what mattered most: joy, connection, and great music she and Mark gave their guests an experience they’ll never forget.
Rooted in intention and overflowing with joy, Morgan and Mark’s celebration was a reflection of who they are; thoughtful, full of life, and entirely unforgettable.
