I had the opportunity to interview Elle, co-owner of Warren Barrón, to discuss Warren Barrón’s trunk show for designer Hermione de Paula. She shared with me how their team discovered this unique designer and hosted the first trunk show in Texas for Hermione de Paula!
“A friend of ours, who is a stylist, thinks highly of the Hermione brand, so she put us in contact. We invited them to our salon and they came straight from Los Angeles. So far, they’ve had a pop-up shop in New York, LA and now we were their third in Dallas. This was their first time to be in Texas, which was really special, and they went back home to London after visiting us.
Working with Hermione was different from anything we’ve ever done. We were lucky to have Hermione, and her right-hand person, Claudia. Their personalities are so charming! For the trunk show, we blocked dressing rooms just for their customers. We assumed that our customers that are coming for wedding gowns are going to also be drawn to this, and want to see it.
Hermione is absolutely for a non-traditional bride. I would say that their little niche that makes them special and stand out from other designers is that they can wardrobe you for your wedding as an event in its totality. They have the perfect looks for an after dinner dress, parties along the way and amazing cocktail attire. They even have pajama sets for getting ready the morning of the wedding. Hermione can even coordinate the groom’s outfit to the bride’s look. Hermione shared “If the bride is wearing one of our floral print dresses, we can match a tie. We can get the fabric of their dress and even line their tuxedo in it.”
Another thing that makes them special is their ability to customize. Especially now when you look at weddings, brides really want to make it their own, and put their personal stamp on their wedding to show their personality through the event. I think that this designer helps them show their personality through their wedding wardrobe. They can embroider anything you want into the dress, even if you give them a picture of your dog, and they can try to mimic that in embroidery underneath your dress if that’s something important to you. They have different unique little things that they do, because they’re a small business.”
