Shot List Staples We Keep Coming Back To

On October 31, 2015, Blake O’Donnel dipped his new bride during their first dance as husband and wife and the resulting photograph epitomized the timeless, wedding photography we always strive for.  Many wedding moments you plan for in a shot list, but there are also many wedding moments that are entirely unplanned. We excitedly anticipate and capture these less-planned moments just like the iconic, black and white portrait from Molly and Blake’s wedding day.

We refer to these moments often as a shot list “staple” because they may not be in a shot list like the family portrait, but they are moments we look for in every wedding day! We compiled a gallery of these images to inspire you and to share with you some of our photographers’ favorite captures.
