The halls are decked, stockings are stuffed, and the tree is lit—Christmas week is HERE! This season brings so much joy, cheer, and loads of merriment as holiday parties and family get-togethers fill the calendar. Whether you travel home or somewhere festive, Christmas week inevitably is all about celebration and tradition. I have found the season also brings a heavy dose of nostalgia as old photos and stories circulate, and I don’t just mean nostalgia from personal experience. I absolutely love to discovering old photos of the Kennedy’s Christmas in Palm Beach or Slim Aarons portraits from St. Mortiz or Nancy Meyers’ behind the scenes photos. These vintage finds curate a feeling of inspiration for me as I assess my own holiday traditions which I believe is part of the joy of sharing memories with each other.
Above are all my favorite famous Christmas portraits that I hope gives you a dose of holiday cheer as you set your table and open your door to loved ones this week!
