Years ago, on the bridge at Lakeside Park, Jim got down on one knee and asked Susan to marry him. Years later, they would have a daughter and name her ‘Marie’. Marie would grow up to meet a man named Corbin and, in a sentimental pang of deja vu, Corbin would one day get down on one knee in the very same spot and propose to Marie.
Not only did Marie get engaged on that very same bridge, but her father’s vintage Chevrolet SS was parked nearby with champagne in the backseat. Corbin and Marie popped champagne in celebration, just as her parents had done before them.
Soon after, the two drove the steel blue convertible to Marie’s childhood home, where their parents and close friends were anxiously awaiting their arrival. Greeted by joyful embraces and happy tears, the couple spent the evening blissfully recounting their picturesque proposal.
